Borean Athiclas

The Athiclas ("flame sword") is the largest, rarest and most expensive type of sword found on Borea. It is typically between 150cm (59") and 170cm (67") long and weighs approximately 4kg (8.8 lbs). The blade takes up about half of the sword's length and is typically characterized by an undulating shape.

Only soldiers above a certain height can be trained to use the Athiclas, as it requires significant physical strength and fitness to wield it, due to its size and weight.

Originally designed to counter polearms, the Athiclas has proven effective against most melee weapons due to its range.
The soldiers wielding the Athiclas are called Tenbáthegan (fire warriors) and typically wear a helmet, gambeson and chainmail. In addition to their imposing figure, towering above most other soldiers, and the fact that their armor is difficult to penetrate, some of them also like to dip their blades in pitch or tar and light them, turning their figurative "flame swords" into literal ones to further intimidate their opponents.

I like flamberges, they look badass, and the story behind them is interesting. So I figured I'd create a Borean version.

Like all Borean swords, the Athicals shares the typical curled cross guard and the disc guard with the triskel-design behind it.

I probably need to start using all photo materials for models if I want to upload them. Problem is, they quickly become too large, so Sketchfab rejects them.
