Seradien's Dress Cane

Seradien had always had a fable for dress canes, and was rarely seen without them. He purchased this particular cane as a gift for himself on his 16th birthday, since his old cane had become too small.
The cane itself is an example of elegance and understatement - slightly extravagant, but modest at the same time.
The spherical knob is shaped from Topazûnian black marble, a highly exclusive and beautiful black marble with white inclusions. This marble is known to be extremely hard and sturdy. The salesman demonstrated this by dropping a sample knob onto a stone floor from shoulder height. The knob was undamaged, despite having supposedly been dropped multiple times before.
The shaft is made from Kalaron, a light and very durable type of plant similar to bamboo. Kalaron is native to Sappirya, Serdadien's homeland. Kalaron is used to craft fishing poles, staff weapons, and similar things. Most nobles would not choose this material for their canes, as kalaron is quite abundant, and thus not considered particularly interesting. However, the nodes give it an interesting appearance, and the fact that it is not commonly used does make the cane somewhat exclusive, something that is not lost on other staff enthusiast.
The metal fittings are made from brass, the tip is natural rubber, and can be replaced.
Seradien chose the kalaron shaft, as well as the marble knob so he could use the cane as a club weapon in self-defense, should the need ever arise.
