Wushun Sword

The Wushun is a preferred weapon of the disciples of Braria. Primarily a cutting weapon, thrusting is possible but not very effective and not usually incorporated into the typical fighting styles. The blade is forged from pattern-welded steel, as it is believed to make it sturdier and more flexible.
The disciples of Braria use two primary fighting styles. One style incorporates wide, dancing movements and concentrates on moving the tassel around to distract the opponent. It is a style filled with flourishes used to assess an opponent. An even more embellised version of this style is used for show-fighting.
If the opponent is too skilled to be fooled by this style, the fighter will drop the flourishes and switch to a tighter style, characterized by fast, effective movements.

The original idea came from https://traumfalke.artstation.com/ and was inspired by the Chinese niuweidao.

The standard version of the Wushun is single-edged with an oval disc guard and bronze fittings. The widening tip has a significant distal taper, its thickness reducing to half. The tang is bent to a loop to which a tassel or silk veils are tied.

This particular version was forged by a Borean weaponsmith. Borean tradition does not allow any metal on swords other than steel. Not knowing any other variant, the smith used the typical disc guard (Cúla) with a triskel (Tridóri) design.
