Borean Xal

The Xal (spear) is a polearm with a two-edged point at the end, which is very common in Borea. It is typically used by soldiers and militia members, as it is cheaper and easier to produce than a sword and doesn't require as much training, but is still a rather effective weapon.
The pole is made from flamed wood to harden it. Other than the swords, the point is made from normal steel, rather than pattern-welded.
The Xal is 2m (79") long, the pole is 2.5cm (1") thick.

Since I had the swords, I also needed to do a spear. It's not feasible to equip every foot soldier or militia member with a sword, so they'd usually carry a spear.

The inspiration for this weapon was a winged spear. Instead of the crossguard-like bar, I used the disc guard (CĂșla) that I also used in the swords, to bring the designs together.

The blade is the same material as the metal tube and disc guard. The lightning just messes it up.
