CAANA XINC'I (Little Bird)

CAANA XINC'I is Vinit'aan and means "Little Bird". It is a name for a type of shuttlecraft used by the Austreydians in the late 24th century.
The Little Bird is exactly 8.57 m (28'1") long, 4.16 m (13'8") wide and and 3.7 m (12'1") tall, when its nacelles are folded down. Its nacelles fold down to make it more compact for storage, and to double as landing gear. Its nacelles move outward to improve warp field efficiency.

The CAANA XINC'I has a cruising speed of warp 4.5 and can reach warp 5.5 for short periods of time. It is armed with two forward plasmodic emitters, its cockpit has two seats for pilot and co-pilot, although it can be operated by a single person. The shuttle is capable of carrying an additional 10 passengers.

The basic design of the CAANA XINC'I was inspired by Starfleet shuttle design, which the Austreydians considered a very effective and successful design.

The ORA'ON Experimental Craft carried four such shuttles aboard.

This is part of a crossover between Star Trek and my Austreya Worldbuilding Project. Canonically, Austreya is not part of the Star Trek universe, but it still fits very well.
