Koob ut'aanaxi Starcruiser

The koob ut'aanaxi Starcruiser was a 350 meter long multi-purpose starship with a focus on exploration, used by an alien civilization around around the time of 1 AD. At this time, a rogue religious sect of the koob ut'aanaxi managed to acquire one such ship and used it to find a new home where they could practice their belief without repressions from their government. They eventually discovered Austreya, a habitable world orbiting closely around the red dwarf star Amadan.
While exploring Amadans neighbourhood, they also discovered another planet, much more suitable to their needs than Austreya, but already inhabited by an intelligent species, which was currently somewhere between bronze age and iron age - humans. While these primitives regarded the koob ut'aanaxi as gods, or god-like beings, they decided that keeping a whole planet in check would be too difficult. Instead they took a couple of humans to Austreya where they were to serve them. These humans were orginally from a Mayan tribe.
However, after transporting the humans to Austreya, the aliens went back to their home to procure materials to build their colony, where they were captured and arrested. They never mentioned the humans, so as to not incriminate themselves further. Thus, the humans were left to their own devices, but survived and eventually thrived, making Austreya their new home.
In modern Austreydian, a language descended from Mayan, the term "koob ut'aanax" means "messenger of the gods". While today many Austreydians consider the story about gods or aliens taking them to Austreya a myth, there has always been a strong drive for the Austreydians to go to space and, maybe, find the "messengers".
About 1000 years after the whole incident, members of the Quimbayan civilization used descriptions of the "divine chariot" as inspiration for the mysterious objects today known as Quimbayan airplanes.

So, last upload of 2020 and an attempt to learn UV mapping. Worked quite well, I'd say.

The Starcruiser in orbit of Austreya. Note the lack of windows - the koob ut'aanaxi did not know any transparent material sturdy enough to withstand long-term deep-space flight.

Primary front and aft thrusters, as well as RCS thrusters on the wings and the front gave the Starcruiser a rather high maneuverability.

The Starcruiser's extensive sensor array occupied the entire front and was indicative of the ship's primary purpose.

The design process for the Starcruiser. On the top-left is an image of the Quimbayan airplane that served as inspiration. Note the first version on the left is still rather close to it.

Managed to upload the model to Sketchfab. Here you go.
